The Saguaro Set is a two piece woven set made up of elastic waistband pants and a pullover top. This is the perfect outfit for road trips through the desert, sunset walks on the beach, or dancing the night away.

The pants feature roomy pockets and a waistband with a drawstring. The top has a plunging V neckline that includes an optional tie closure. You can wear the top backwards or forwards. This flowy set is easy to sew and fun to wear with endless options for customization.

Sizes:
XS – 7X

The pattern was drafted using sample measurements for a height of 5’6″ (168 cm) and a B-cup bra size.

The Saguaro Set has a loose, easy fit and is pulled in with elastic. Please note that the Saguaro Top has a deep plunging neckline and even with the tie it is not a full coverage top. If you want more coverage you may want to add a hook and eye closure or increase the overlap on the front. The pants are high waisted and are designed to sit above your bellybutton.

Model Fit Notes:
The model in the green version is wearing an XS. She is 5'7" tall.

The model in the burgundy version is wearing an XXL. She is 5'9".

The model in brick colored linen version is wearing a 5X. She is 6' tall.

You may need to purchase extra yardage if your fabric has a heavy nap, is directional, striped, or has an obvious repeat. Due to the size of some pattern pieces, the Saguaro Set is not compatible with fabric narrower than 54″ (137 cm) in all sizes.

54″-60″ (137-153 cm) wide fabric: Top, 1.25 – 1.6 yd (1.1 – 1.5 m) // Pants, 2.25 – 2.8 yd (2 – 2.6 m).

Notions:

2-3 yards 2”[5cm] wide elastic
3 x 4” [8 x 11cm] Scrap of fusible interfacing
Safety pin
Matching thread

The Saguaro Set is designed for light to mid weight woven fabrics. Linen, rayon challis, tencel twill, chambray, double gauze, and silk would all work well for both the top and pants. Lighter fabrics like lawn and voile could also work for the top, and slightly heavier fabrics like cotton twill could work for the pants.
